Overview
The Zagora Desert of small dunes, is the one that we find closest to Marrakech, it is located about 350 km. This makes this desert ideal for people who have little time (this excursion can be done in at least 2 days and 1 night). Fully recommended for those who do not want to miss the experience of sleeping in the desert, taking a ride on a dromedary and sleeping in the Bereber tents camp.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: MARRAKECH - HIGH ATLAS - OUARZAZATE - DRAA VALLEY –ZAGORA
Early morning, by 4X4 vehicle we cross the High Atlas through the Tizi N Tichka at an altitude of 2260 meters. Stop en route to enjoy the spectacular views of the High Atlas, and continue to OUARZAZATE: city called the gateway to the desert where many international films have been shot. Lunch at local restaurant with a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt (old town of OUARZAZATE). Then, we will continue our trip crossing the Anti-Atlas, the Drâa Valley (the largest valley in Morocco). On our arrival in ZAGORA, we change the 4X4 vehicle for camels and enjoy a 1h30mn ride to reach the camp. DINNER AND OVERNIGHT in the typical tents (An unforgettable night under the stars with drum music)
DAY 2: ZAGORA - AGDEZ - AIT BEN HADDOU - MARAKECH
At the sunrise, in the nearest dune, free time to take magical photos, and enjoy the silence in the desert. Traditional breakfast, and return to Zagora then continue to Ait Ben Haddou, ( declared a World Heritage Site) crossing the Anti-Atlas mountains through the Tizi -NTinifift. Lunch at a local restaurant in front of the Kasbah. In the afternoon, return to MARRAKECH crossing the Tizin tichka and the berber villages of the high atlas..
