This 3 day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga allow you to discover the real desert of Morocco with its sand dunes, oases, kasbahs and rocky desert at ease, enjoy a camel trekking activity in the dunes of sand and a night in your Sahara Desert camp in the middle of nowhere!
ITINERARY
DAY 1: MARRAKECH - TELOUET - KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE - DADES GORGES
Departure by our vehicle 4X4 to the south through the highest and the famous Tizin tichka pass (2260m), Brief stop on the way to take pictures and visit of the telouet Kasbah , then continue to Ait Ben Haddou,( classified as a heritage site by Unesco) , visit of the most famous ksar, lunch in a typical restaurant, front of the Kasbah, then continuation to Ouerzazate; visit of the Cinema Studio, well known for hosting the many international films, and continue through to the gorges of Dades and the valley of Roses . DINNER AND OVERNIGHT.
DAY 2: GORGES DE DADES -TINGHIR - GORGES DE TODRA - MERZOUGA - DUNES D'ERG CHEBBI
Breakfast, reach the road to tineghir, brief stop to visit the impressive todra gorges, and continue to Erfud, the capital of the Tafilalet region, lunch at local restaurant. Then continue to Merzouga,( 25 kms) at the foothills of the highest dunes in Africa. Where the dromedaries’ await us for a 1H30 ride in the dunes. DINNER AND OVERNIGHT in the camp under the stars and the moon.
DAY 3: MERZOUGA - DRAA VALLEY - AGDEZ - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH
Early morning, we will awaken you to attend the sunrise in the dunes, take magical photos and enjoy the silence. Is a unique and unforgettable experience. After a rich breakfast, departure to Ouerzazate, through the berber Agdez village and the beautiful Draa valley with its vast palm groves ,.crossing the Tizin Tinifift pass of the 1660 m. At arrival, lunch at local restaurant and continuation to Marrakech crossing again the Tizin Tichjka pass ( 2260 m) and the high atlas mountains
