Sleeping one night in the Sahara desert is one of the experiences that you have to live in Morocco. They say that Erg Chegaga is one of the most special deserts in the world. If you want to go on an excursion and sleep in the Erg Chegaga desert, you are in the right place!
ITINERARY
DAY 1: MARRAKECH - TICHKA- AIT BEN HADDOU - AGDEZ - ZAGORA
Departure by our vehicle 4X4 to the south through the highest Tizin tichka pass (2260m), stop during the way to take pictures , visit of the telouet Kasbah and continue to Ait Ben Haddou,( classified as a heritage site by unesco) lunch in a typical restaurant. Afternoon drive to Zagora through the valley of Draa and Agdez . On arrival, DINNER AND OVERNIGHT.
DAY 2: ZAGORA - M'HAMID - ERG CHEGAGA
Breakfast, visit of the ceramic workshops and the Koranic library of Temgroute, the, continue tour journey to M’hamid, lunch in the heart of the pam grove and on camels ( 2 hours) , continue to the dunes of Erg Chegaga crossing 60 kms of the desert. Traditional DINNER and OVERNIGHT in the camp at the foot of the dunes under stars in the Sahara.
DAY 3: ERG CHEGAGA - FOUM ZGUID - MARRAKECH
Breakfast in the middle of the desert, departure by our vehicle 4X4 to the foothills of the Anti-Atlas, crossing the IRIKI lake, lunch in the 1st village after the foum Zguid desert, then continue to Taznakht, the capital of the safran and the berber carpets. Afternoon, return to Marrakech crossing the Tizin tichka and the berber villages of the high Atlas. Arrival around 20h00
